Flood

Last few weeks there were a lot of floods, specifically in Bukit Timah, Orchard, and Newton. This is because of the El Nino and a typhoon in China, causing disrupt air pressures. This caused the rainy "season" in Singapore, and also unexpected floods in Orchard Road, causing many losses in the shops in Lucky plaza, and many other shopping malls. One worst case is in Wendy's, a newly opened branch of Wendy's in America.

The reason was- leaves and twigs clogging the drains.

I feel that this reason should not be acceptable, because it is PUB's job to get it clean and regular checking should be efficient enough to check every nook and cranny, if not it will cause in this incident. I also think that PUB should compensate for the losses and explain and apologize to citizens, because it has caused many inconveniences. PUB is a government-supported company, and so it should have much more than just integrity to admit their mistake, but also apologize immediately knowing that it caused such inconveniences. I might be too critical, but this is my point of view.

How about you?
